Yes! What a fun session on Weather we had today with teachers from Schenectady & Guilderland, and students from the Masters of Arts in Teaching Program at Clarkson University Capital District Campus! Rise High students equipped their tool belt in preparation to visit the National Weather Service. They learned about temperature, pressure, humidity, dew point, and a bunch of other important parameters that make up weather. They made fire and clouds in bottles, and even got to IMPLODE a 55 gallon drum. That’s right! They also learned so much about how to read maps with lots of satellite information, just like expert meteorologists do!! Thank you Ms. Leigh, Mr. Josh, Mr. Jared, Mr. Dan, Mr. Alex, and Ms. Fiona for the awesome session!
