What a fun day we had today at the Department of Atmospheric & Environmental Sciences at SUNY Albany! We learned about how hot and cold temperatures mix as Planet Earth rotates, how different gases have different densities and how they will flow accordingly, about different effects caused by air flow and rapid changes in temperature, and we even got to be like meteorologists! We predicted weather temperatures (we did really well!), and communicated the weather forecast on a green screen!!! Check us out! How cool is that?

Thank you team of professors and PhD students Matthew Vaughan, Justin Minder, Matthew Campbell, Kevin Biernat, Josh Alland, Hannah Attard, Casey Peirano, and Ross Lazear for hosting us and teaching us about the great things that Rise High’s students can aspire to do and become!
