This weekend marked the beginning of our second year learning and growing with Schenectady City kids! We loved welcoming our 7th graders back, as well as a whole new cohort of 6th graders. With the 6th graders joined a new group of mentors that add to our fantastic team of mentors and volunteers.
The 6th graders had fun learning about linear functions, regression, interpolation, and extrapolation while doing Superhero bungee jumps. You heard it right! Meanwhile, the 7th graders were learning about effective communication, especially when trying to sell an idea. Then they were challenged to build a prototype that they had to sell to a relevant audience.
Thanks to all of our staff, volunteers, donors, partners, students & families for making this a reality. And thanks to our partner Clarkson University Graduate School for hosting and welcoming us on this very special day. We look forward to an amazing year!
